As we learn more about the spread of the coronavirus, I’m here to share some facts about how it’s impacting our Richmond real estate market. Since the beginning of this health scare, I’ve been receiving many questions about how the spread of a virus can impact our local market. Yes, some people will believe the sky is falling and will want to get out of the market. However, most people are still buying and selling homes.

Right now, credit is still flowing. Bankers are lending and mortgage rates are very low. They’ve gone down even further since this crisis began. This has created an even better buying atmosphere. Some buyers who were on the fence have decided to jump into the market due to these low rates.

My team and I have worked through many business changes in the last 20 years.

Our real estate market is typically extremely strong this time of year, and market activity has remained strong. On average, there are 100 new listings per day in our area and about 75 to 95 pending listings each day. My team and I have worked through many business changes in the last 20 years. I experienced the changes after 9/11, the swine flu scare, and the 2008 market crash. In fact, our business improved in 2008 because we were able to adapt to the changing market.

We will help guide you through whatever changes happen in our market. We promise to provide the same level of great service to our clients as always. We’re here to be your resource for real estate and market information during this time. We may change how we conduct a few aspects of our business due to the coronavirus, but our business can continue.

If you have questions or would like to know if now is the right time for you to buy or sell, please call us for a consultation. We would love to help you during this difficult time.
